A Few of My Favorite {Summer} Things

A Few of My Favorite {Summer} Things

I haven’t done one of these posts in a while. Like a loooong while. But I LOVE to know my friends’ favorite things!!! And since you’re my friends, I can’t let you go on one more hottie than the devil’s armpit-summer day, without sharing with you some of my favorite...

A Life Update

A Life Update

I’ve missed these keys. I’ve missed this space with you.

There are so many words, so many stories waiting to be told, swirling around deep in me that are waiting to come out. I just haven’t had the space to let them. I don’t know if you’re like this, but when things are stirring in me, most of the time words don’t immediately come. At least not words I’m ready to share with the world. They have to sit for a while, I have to get familiar with them, after we mingle a bit, then they’re ready to be released.

Wash Day (And our favorite EVER products!)

Wash Day (And our favorite EVER products!)

If you’ve been around here for some time, you’ve probably been on the journey with me of learning how to care for Selah’s hair and skin. It’s definitely an area I am always growing in, but man, I’ve learned so much along the way!

Last week, a childhood friend sent a desperate text, “Hair help please!” She had just gotten a new foster placement and this sweet girl was in desperate need of hair care. I’m so glad I’m finally in a place where I can help! I actually know how to help! So she came over and I washed and styled sweet girl’s hair and it was my honor to love on her and her foster mama in that way.

I realized that many of you who have babies born from your heart might need the same help, so I’m going to take you step by step throughout our wash day. I’ll show you exactly what to do, and tell you all about these amazing products we’ve been using lately.

A New Space

A New Space

I wish I could invite each of you to my living room and we could sit down and chat. I know I say this all the time. But it’s true. I hope you know how much I appreciate you showing up here, many of you, for years now. You reading these words, supporting me, and growing with me and the Father means more than you know!

That’s why I love so much our time together on Thursday’s over on Facebook! So many of you send me emails asking questions that cover different topics (BTW keep those emails coming! If you have something you want me to discuss, send it over!), and I try to unpack those in our chats on Thursday’s. It’s so fun having you join with me in the conversation. So if you haven’t already, like my Facebook page and join me live on Thursday’s!

A Magical Kingdom

A Magical Kingdom

We all have this deep longing for a magical kingdom far, far away. A castle. A princess. Maybe some mice friends. And a prince that comes to our rescue. We most definitely long for a fairy tale ending.

I grew up like most little girls I know, obsessed with Cinderella. So Brandon and I saved for over a year and took our little family to Disney. I was 100% more excited than my kids. Partly, because Micah started crying in the car after we passed Costco on our way there, because he said Mickey Mouse was at Costco. He had no concept for Disney World. And sweet Selah, she just wanted to see “all the princesses and ride the Disney World bus.” (Apparently she saw that on a commercial.)
